Drywall Estimating Courses (Beginner and Intermediate Levels)
30 hour beginner classes.
Currently, we are offering 30 hour LIVE online estimating classes, designed for the beginner estimator. It is assumed that students who attend these courses may or may not be familiar with construction estimating. The purpose of these courses is to teach construction estimating from the ground up. A knowledge of basic math, the ability to read and write in English, common sense and a desire to learn are the typical prerequisites for these courses. These classes include learning how to estimate materials and labor for drywall, taping, metal framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, EIFS, etc.
30 Hour Intermediate Class
Our 30 hour intermediate class is for estimators who do have some experience but aren't comfortable in bidding. Coming up with a bid price is one thing but knowing and feeling that it's accurate is another. We teach estimators what they need to know in order to feel good about submitting prices. This class is a bit more in depth than our beginner classes and assumes that the estimator student has some experience in doing take-offs and bid pricing.
Our LIVE online classes are virtually identical to out original classes that were held, here in New Hampshire but offer the same without costs of airfare, transportation, meals and lodging! Students tend to focus much more because distractions are reduced to a minimum.
All courses are taught while using Quick Bid and OST (On Screen Takeoff) and we do sell this software if you are interested. While we DO recommend purchasing this software it is NOT necessary to have this software installed on your computer as your instructor will be sharing his screen with you. These classes are 100% interactive, allowing students to acquire true hands on experience.
These courses are designed to help you read construction drawings, details and specifications, assemble the correct facts and to apply special formulas to improve your estimating skills on medium to large size
projects. In the time span of 30 hours, you will learn how to organize procedures to reduce errors and save time. You will learn how to spot unusual job requirements, and thus avoid the bad jobs. You will learn how to prepare estimates that can be adjusted to variable economic conditions and geographical areas.
